RESOURCE LIBRARY: An extensive Library of information on any part of your job search you are struggling with. Books on goal setting, resumes, time management, cover letters, job loss, career direction, motivation, conflict resolution……you name it, we probably have it.

LOUNGE: Relax on the Lounge Deck to read the paper, review the extensive resources or have a private space to feed the baby.

WORK LAB: A private room with a telephone is available for clients to contact potential employers

RESUME: Learn how to create a resume that helps you get the job!

COVER LETTER: Catch the employer’s attention with a dynamic cover letter.

GUEST SPEAKERS: Employers from the community speak to our clients on what they look for when hiring and tips on how to make a good impression.

ASSESSMENTS: Identify which jobs are suitable for you based on your interests, personality and values. Our qualified crew is trained in Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory and Emotional Intelligence.

LABOUR MARKET INFORMATION: Find out what jobs are hot and what jobs are not.

FUNDING OPTIONS: You may be eligible for financial assistance to obtain further education to re-enter the job market. The qualified staff of Jump on Board will explore your options with you.

If you are on EI, or have been in the past three years, there are options to gain work experience such as:

JOB CREATION PARTNERSHIPS: A great way to obtain up to one year of work experience while collecting Employment Benefits for people with limited skills.

TARGETED WAGE SUBSIDY PROGRAM: Have the education or certification but need work experience? Is an employer interested in hiring you but wants someone with more experience? TWS may be the program for you.
